Maybe go over the encounters you have had with your friend, and try to see what kind of attractions you feel, whether it be some sort of tertiary attraction or romantic, or something else! Do some research, spend more time with your friend to see how you feel, maybe that'll help you figure this out.

And remember, it's completely fine to not be aro! You're still valid and sexuality and orientation are and can be fluid. They aren't forever set in stone.
