  1. Looking back there were a few signs that I was aro, like when I got my first boyfriend I replied to his confession a month after and when I accepted, thinking that I’d grow to like him, the awkward atmosphere when I had to hang out with him was horrible so I just ignored him till we broke up. When we did I felt was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, even though I was told that he was an ideal boyfriend I just couldn’t find anything to like about him ^^’

Later I was told that he was cheating on me but I was a horrible gf anyway lol

Another thing was that I’ve  never had a crush, but I just thought it was because I was too cool for them xD

  2. That would be so fun! I’ve never really been able to talk to another aro aside from on here so this sounds amazing!!

    Connection

    • Are other people necessary to feel a sense of connection? Spiritually, emotionally, etc?
    • Ways we connect with others and build friendships/connections outside of amatonormativity?

    Can I join this? oWo

Putting this here since it's sort of visibility related.

Back in 2021 I remember seeing a TikTok of someone admitting to blocking random aromantic people because they thought the flag in their icons (the aro flag) was the "dreamsexual" flag. This rubbed me the wrong way back when I first saw it, you know, these innocent aromantic people being mistaken for a group of weirdos in more ways than one.

Today I saw a post by one of my favorite artists where apparently the aromantic flag has been taken synonymous for "dreamsexuality", complety stripping it from its meaning and significance and twisting in nothing more than a bad joke.

I was wondering what were other people's thoughts on this?

P.S. For those who don't know what "dreamsexuality" is, it's defined by the clowns themselves as "being sexually attracted to Dream" as in the Minecraft youtuber, probably one of the stupidest things ever coined.

I came across this recently and it made me feel so helpless- we’re not represented or known about so the fact that people will now not just have no clue who we are but will now believe that we’re associated with a completely different and disagreeable community…

  4. Hello! I just found this site and it helped me answer a question I was recently troubled with! I don’t know how this works but I hope to get used to it soon. I’m still in the closet and I hope to be able to discuss my identity and make friends with the people here! ^^
