I need someone to help me find out if I'm gay

Recommended Posts

I'm a guy and I don't know if I'm gay or straight. I can't figure out what my sexuality is. I need someone to tell me how to find out what my sexuality is. What should I do to find out my sexuality? How do you find out if you're gay or straight? Please help me, I need to know.

Look at pics/vids of men, or go out to a beach or a bar other place, and see whether you feel aroused to them, yes or no?

Now do the same for women, do you feel aroused to them, yes or no?

If aroused to men only, as a man, gay.

If aroused to women only, as a man, straight.

If aroused to both, bi.

If aroused to neither, ace.

But if you’ve done that and you don’t know whether you felt anything or not, it’s also fine to not know.

And other than just men and women, maybe check out enbies and/or intersex and see whether you’re aroused or not. Or perhaps try something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/RoleReversal/ and see whether you’re aroused or not.

Another good way to test yourself when it comes to sexuality and romantic identity are phantasmal relationships. Just imagine yourself in a relationship with someone, forget reality, just make up relationships in your head. If you theoretically went out with x really hot guy, or x really hot girl are you interested? Just imagine going out with them or getting with them. In said situation are you comfortable, happy? Does it feel right?

Just remember that any “arousing” could be a squish in disguise.

Sorry for not clarifying, when I said “aroused” I meant sexually and then I just realized it can also be used non-sexually, as in “attracted”.

The question said “sexuality” so I just assumed it’s about sexual attraction, but if it’s an umbrella term also including romantic and other attractions, then damn semantics.

Also consider romantic crushes, or the lack of, the gender(s) of people you feel romantic attraction to (or not) may or may not match those you are sexually attracted to (or not).
