CJandCosplays Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 For those who don't know, an aro ring is a white (I've also heard clear) ring on your left middle finger. It's supposed to be like a secret calling card to let other aromantic people know you're aromantic without fully outting yourself to everybody around you. White rings are difficult to find yall. Especially with what I'm specifically looking for. I can't have silicone because it can feel weird on my finger, and I also have a chewing stim that silicone is absolutely *chef's kiss* for. Which is great, until the ring is chewed through. I've seen ceramic, but I'm pretty rough and tumble, and since I wanna wear this ring daily, I want something that's not fragile (if ceramic is sturdier let me know, but from my experience not so much). A little over a year ago I bought a really decent stainless steel ace ring (black ring that goes on your right middle finger), but apparently getting white stainless steel is near impossible. Also my ace ring is 3 mm and I would like at least almost the same for the aro ring so they can kinda match (I also just prefer skinnier bands) And my middle finger ring size is ~8 1/2-9 I even tried asking the artist that made my ace ring if they were able to make a white ring and they pretty much said they have been trying for years but they can't find anything durable, looks nice, and cost effective. Does anyone have an aro ring that you love? Where did you get it? I would love to have one. 2 Quote

The Newest Fabled Creature Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 (edited) I actually don't know where my white ceramic ring came from (it was a Christmas gift and my family has shit memory), but I assume that it's from Etsy. I know that Etsy has it's own issues, and I'm uncertain of how durable the ceramic rings are, nor how durable mine is, but I dropped it a few times and it doesn't have any dents, chips, or scratches on it. If you're still searching for any places to look, I hope this helps? Edit: I'll need to see about buying some rings from Dondella tho 👀 Edited August 31, 2024 by The Newest Fabled Creature Quote

roboticanary Posted January 3 Posted January 3 White ceramic is also a fairly common choice for ring blanks. So a ring with some sort of groove in the middle to put e.g. opal or wood or metal inlay. So if you have a bit of a desire to craft something that can be a good choice. Quote
ghost_bean Posted January 14 Posted January 14 My friend 3D printed hers, so if you have access to a 3D printer, i would recommend making one :) 1 Quote
