Damn, someone got to "Bloom Into You" before I could lol

It's a very good anime exploring romantic orientation/attraction, whether or not intentionally in certain aspects, and I could gush about it forever even with some of the problems the anime may have. Seeing the different spectrums of aromanticism explored (both canonical and speculated) I think was handled fairly well, especially when it comes to the relationships that some aromantics/aro-specs may or may not have in their experience (or lack of experience) with romantic attraction. It serves as a good romance for allos alongside being a good piece of media that aromantics can enjoy, simply because of the thought processes and emotions and complexities of the relationships and characters not just getting together for the sake of it, and most importantly (imo) the lack of attraction displayed in some characters not being demonized; instead, it is used as a constructive narrative tool that doesn't feel throw-away-ish nor like the characters aren't being explored.

Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia is cannon aro/allo (more specifically, cupioromantic)! She doesnt get the screen time she deserves but still great to see aro/allo representation in mainstream media like MHA is (especially when i know of zero other cannon aro/allo characters in any TV show or movie lol)

Recently read The Poppy War trilogy!! The books don't really focus on romance but rather on war and how it affects people and stuff (mixing with fantasy as well). It's a saga which I'd recommend to know about the TWs before getting into

But, as far as I read (both on the books and the wiki), Chen Kitay is an aroace character! Plus, his and the MC's bond is one of the deepest of the trilogy, and it was interesting to finally see a piece of literacy have that much emphasis on a platonic relationship!

Sir Talfryn and Jet Siquliak are both aromantic and both from the Penumbra Podcast. Sir Talfryn is my favorite Penumbra Podcast: Second Citadel character. Jet is cool but the Juno Steel series has so many cool characters that he's probably not even in my top five.

PENUMBRA PODCAST MENTION !!!!!!!! Jet is my favorite character other than Juno, not just because he's aroace but also cause he's just an interesting character. I haven't listened to Second Citadel yet because I wanna finish Juno Steel first.

The main character in Kaikeyi is aroace. The book is a feminist retelling of a hindu myth where one of the side characters gets to tell their version of the story.

I read that book a couple years ago and I liked that Kaikeyi's aroace identity wasn't a huge thing, she just stated it like it was a fact. I also liked that she still had a strong platonic bond with Dasaratha. I never thought a figure in Hindu mythology would ever be retold to be aroace of all things, especially someone who's basically evil in most tales.
