So, that's why so many people are victims of marriage, someone makes them drink and they give them their apartment and bank account with a big, happy "yes" ; and they divorce when their brain is back to sober ! It's terrible :o

I do drink socially. Sometimes I even have a nice cider or baileys at home. It's just standard to meet friends at the pub, and there are many drinks I like the taste of. I feel like English pub culture is more acceptable and relaxed than American bar culture (quietly ignoring our binge drinking problem). I could be wrong.

Yes, I like wines, ales, cider, vodka, cocktails...I don't drink much, as for me it is a part of the gastro culture, and not a tool to knock myself out. I guess its a cultural thing, some dishes just have to be paired up with wine (and fresh bread), otherwise its just not a proper meal.

I also consider cocktails a type of dessert, so I usually have only one of them.

I had some champagne and dessert wine on Sunday, and that was the first time since Christmas. The legal age is 18 in UK and here's a tip for the US, the legal age for your neighbors is 18 (Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba Mexico) or 19 (Rest of Canada) so live by the border.

No, because of the medications I'm on and the fact that I'm 15. :P However, I would most likely drink if I was able to (old enough and not on medications that might have Bad Side Effects if combined with alcohol)

@aroMa(n)tisse well, non alcoholic wine is the unfermented grape juice. All wine is grape juice...(except for the very bad ones, but those usually are a quality that may cause blindness :| so lets not talk about those)

But 'tastes like wine' is kind of a vague concept, as there are lots of varieties. I'm by no means a pro wine taster, but the differences are quite distinct.

I drink socially, and every now and then I'll have a Baileys in the evening or a beer/cider with dinner.

I'll get drunk at parties (yay social lubricant), but never so much that I chunder, or can't put myself to bed. Though I have been thinking about easing up on this, because hangovers suck.

I'm a student, so it's a bit difficult to avoid alcohol altogether. :P

I've learned to like the taste of (some) alcohol, so yeah I drink socially and occasionally I'll open a beer at home or something. It's usually only one or max two drinks at any party, and I've never been drunk. That's not something I want to try, honestly.

You should go to France if you want to drink under 21 / 18, it's theoretically illegal but people don't care, when they don't sort of encourage it LOL. Kids start drinking at 12 or 13 and are initiated by their own family on holidays most of the time !

I used to think grape juice was wine when I was a kid. I remember seeing it in the fridge and being scared to drink it...

That's true about the majority of south Europe, cos when wine making is the family business, its not seen as a recreational indulgence but as tradition and an art form. The culture is a bit different.

I was introduced to the real deal quite early, fruit, juice, and the whole production process and all, so I don't think I was ever scared by it. I was more disappointed by the bland store bought grape juice. (Not that we had it often...home made cordial ftw.)
