I did French at school for 3 years but hated it and don't remember anything :P

I did German for 4, but it was all kinda basic stuff and I can vaguely understand simple German, but couldn't really say much myself.

I'd love to love another language fluently but I'm also very lazy so probably won't ever happen haha

Native french speaker here, i've been learning english for about 10 years at school but I learned most of it by myself.

Started learning Dutch 4 years ago but stopped when I got into uni. I haven't praticed in almost a year and I feel like I've lost most of my knowledge.

Oh cool! A language thread! Now I have an excuse to use Korean keyboard while on Arocalypse (although technically it's my first language, and learning another foreign language other than English is quite challenging for me ^_^

한국인 전혀 없는 사이트에서 한국어 쓰려니까 겁나 신기하군ㅋㅋㅋ기분좋다! 아로칼립스랑 에이로맨틱 전부 흥해라!

For those who don't wanna bother using google translate, I just said "It feels weird to use Korean when I'm the only Korean on the site at the moment lol. I love Arocalypse! I wish happiness for all aro-spec here!" :P

later on I started learning Japanese and Swedish for interest and because I thought I was getting into a Swedish school at that. time.

For the moment Im still learning japanese and also started learning alittle DSL just for my own entertainment.

Ich spreche fließend Deutsch, da es meine Muttersprache ist.
My English is pretty good too. I think I have a CEFR level of C1.
Hablo español tambien, pero no recuerdo mucho.
Purtroppo non parlo bene l'italiano. (Honestly all I learned in my italian course was flirting in italian  You can imagine how annoying that was  However I finished the course just to get the opportunity of an exchange to Italy)
我说汉语。学习汉语很好玩。(Hope I got that right, it's been aaaages)
I also understand almost all written and spoken dutch, but I can't really speak it. Same with latin, I can translate it well, but can't speak it myself (why would I?)

I'm a native French speaker.

I can say I'm functionally bilingual  (C2 English level), I learned English mostly with conversations and trips, but I speak English with my typical east French accent :D

German was the first language I learned, and I was really good, but the thing is that there is no way to have conversations with Germans in German... So I can't really speak German any longer, and my remaining German skills aren't very good.

Duolingo is my jam, along with Memrise and Clozemaster. I'm profteak on all of those if anyone wants to add me and FIGHT

Native English speaker who is focusing on Dutch, occasionally flirting with Norwegian, while also trying to improve upon the French basics I picked up but didn't do anything with. I'd like to learn BSL and maaaybe expand on my weeaboo stage Japanese. I love love love languages but my anxiety prevents me from using and improving them and I really need a boot up the ass.

Do programming language count?  Because I'm almost fluent in at Python, Java, and C :P

As for human languages though, English is all I know.  I took 12 years of Spanish classes at school (grades K-11, plus other year in college), but I retained essentially none of it.  I know enough to say "I don't speak Spanish", but that's pretty much it.  I wish I could learn another human language, but it's too difficult for me, and with my current schedule I really don't have the time.

Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen. Ich habe ein Jahr Deutschkurs im Universität genommen, und habe es studiert ein bisschen bevor in Grundschule, aber ich vergesse Grammatik sehr schnell.

Tomé cuatro años de Español en colegio(?) también, pero lo me olvidé mucho desde entonces, y es difícil tener dos idiomas extranjeros(?) en mi cabeza al mismo tiempo.

Whew. That was harder than I expected. :$

한국어를 잘 못 하는데 조금 할 수 있다. 저음에 혼자서 배우지만 한국어 너무 재미있어서 대학권에서 한국어 공부하기로 결정했다. (Not sure if that made sense--I'm still learning xD)

I've also studied ASL, Spanish, Japanese, and Hindi to varying degrees.  The only one I was ever close to fluent in was ASL.  It's been a long time since I've used it though, so I've lost a lot unfortunately.

Gosh. Let's see. I'm a native English speaker. I've been taking French for 7 years and American sign language (ASL). I want continue ASL in uni as a possible minor and begin Arabic. I'm also trying Duolingo for German but it doesn't seem like my cup of tea.. Still trying though ^_^

I want to be fluent in at least 5 languages (I have 3 so far <3)

I am so sorry for our language guys. So so sorry D:"

So my native tongue is german. I, unsurprisingly speak english, and I've tried for years to learn japanese. I wasn't even all bad, but circumstances always got in my way. Now I know a lot of words, the hiragana and the katakana writing system and the pronunciation, but I can't, for the life of me form proper sentences. TT__TT
It's my biggest regret.

I was doing pretty well when I tried to learn German but then it suddenly got really super hard and I had no idea what I was doing :'(

Forming sentences in Japanese is so difficult!! I got frustrated and gave up so I don't remember very many words but I can still read hiragana and katakana (certainly not kanji, though!). Whether I understand most of what I'm reading is a different story

Your Korean is great! How did you learn it by yourself? What makes you interested in the language? :P
