What video games are you playing?

i've been obsessed with skyrim for the past few months and holy hell is it one of the greatest games i've ever played and i regret not getting into it sooner.

i also wanna start BG3 soon but i'm daunted because i don't often play turn-based games and i feel like i'll suck at it lol.

At release, Baldur's Gate 3 was more like a pearl in a clam because it had too many bugs (not Cyberpunk 2077 level, but obviously rushed). Now, after the patches, I hope its otherworldly world-building makes it the once-in-a-generation masterpiece it deserves to be.

But I find it very difficult to get into CRPGs, even the best of them. I strongly prefer ARPGs. I'm ok with turn-based if it's grand strategy, but not for RPGs. IDK why.

Back in Summer 2023, I started with the launch version of Baldur's Gate 3, and I ran into a terrible save-preventing bug. So I put it aside to play it again after it was patched, but haven't touched it since.

yeah i'm a lot more into ARPGs too, chiefly because the combat's a lot more immersive to me as opposed to that of turn-based games as a general rule, though perhaps i'm not being fair as i haven't played a lot of the latter myself (save for south park: stick of truth before i got stuck lol).

also damn didn't know BG3 had save bugs, sorry you had to deal with those. glad to hear they're patched at least.

I just finished all the quests and puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail, as well as all the battle stuff except the really, really difficult ones (my team's not strong enough yet). I love the game, but I'm not really sure what to do now /:
