This is about asexuality, not aromanticism, but I believe you would be interested in this video essay: I definitely headcanon her as aroace, and there are defnitely some amatonormative themes in the Barbie movie. I think the times he 'acted' allosexual was more so him just trying to fit into a role, a big part of his arc is his identity being completely tied to relationships and not having anything beyond that, so it makes sense he would try to cling on to anything, including a false sense of allosexuality. I definitely think Ken is ace.

I was very confused why so many people hated it, so I looked it up on a thread and the reply was 'because it's music for teenage girls' and I thought, well, I'm a teenage girl! 🤷‍♀️ I can answer this one. Sex can be a a very emotional, tense or intimate moment, so when in a horror movie it can serve as a) a distraction b) a last chance for certain characters to bond before they are killed off or c) in some cases the horror and sexual aspect are connected, eg it relates to the character's personal fears around sex.
