Literally I keep saying this… “Ooh wah kissing is gross! Get it away! No REAL aro likes kissing! Soooo gross!!!” like what are you guys, 5? Not wanting something for yourself is one thing, or not wanting to be around it, but talking about how a harmless activity between other people is inherently gross and ohhh how could anyone POSSIBLY enjoy it… Cmon, gonna tell me boys got cooties too? Like do people actually read the things they type???

Idk I’ve just been kinda wanting to try and kiss someone recently, but if I think about it for too long I get super grossed out lmao. I’d like some perspectives from y’all, if you’ve kissed someone and how it made you feel as aro(spec) people. All of my friends are very much Into kissing people and also Not super aromantic sooo their perspectives aren’t super helpful.

No one can answer that question, really. It's going to depend on the individual, just the same as "as an aromantic/aro-spec person, do you like cheese?" In my personal experience, sure, it can be nice or it can be terrible depending on who you're kissing. But the only person who can tell you if you would enjoy it is you.

I just read a post on Instagram that says "Imagine a boy that stares at you and smiles even when you aren't looking because he's so in love with you." My first thought was: "Uhhhh, CREEPY!" ? I'd be so uncomfortable! I read the comments to see if anyone agreed with me and all of them were "I wish" and "if only" type comments.

This thing turned up in my Dreamwidth subscription page. A comm that initially looked promising- a writing/art fest that would go toward promoting diversity. They even split sexual and romantic orientations. The misstep here (and misstep is putting things lightly) is that they decided to put in a BLEEPing points system for participating. Dead serious, here's a link. I feel that cheapens the message, and am seriously considering a calling out for the admin, and an angry rant on my personal Dreamwidth journal.

me, partway through a sewing project that was meant to be finished in may but is now unlikely to be finished until october, realising I need to basically redo the entire skirt and also buy more fabric: hey what if I embroidered the dress bodice and made some jewellery to match that would be cool right!
