I'm currently living in Hamburg though I'll probably move back to NRW in September. German is my first language, so I'd say I'm pretty good at it 
Assuming that German isn't your first language, where are you from?
Also that's really good if it's not your first language especially because German isn't the easiest language to learn from what I've heard

@RobinYou can also say "Studierende" which is gender neutral, but when you use the singular form you'll have to gender again. Such a weird language.

My German host-father asked me "Was hat deine Freundin gesagt?" in regards to the US presidential election. I looked at him blankly for a bit because I translated it as "What has your girlfriend said?" He clarified that he meant Erin, a female friend of mine (who has found me on Arocalypse and can see all the embarrassing stuff I have posted on here). See, in German, "Freundin" can mean "girlfriend" or "female friend" based on how it's used. Given that Thomas just used "Freundin" and expected me to know who I was talking about, I guess he thinks Erin is my girlfriend?? He doesn't think I have just one female friend, right? I didn't attempt to clarify my relationship with Erin because...well...I'm just not up to it today. The election has made me a wreck.

German is indeed a very confusing language and I'm saying that as a native speaker! I think my grandma once thought I had a boyfriend, but I'll never know because I wont ask. But whatever, I just let people think that I'm dating my friends. As long as we know that those are just rumours/assumptions, I don't care.

Mike Pence took money out of HIV funding and resources and put that into conversion therapy. This result is going to kill LGBT kids all over America. Fuck I'm glad I don't live there, but I'm still so sorry for those that do.

I'm back from a busy time, but I'll have some exams tomorrow and the day after that and I hope that my life will manage to somewhat calm down next week

My mum bought m&m's and freddo frogs today. I was wondering why until I realised that it's halloween. Nobody came.

No one has come to our house on halloween for the past couple years. I think we just don't have that many children living around us anymore. Or maybe it's because they avoid our house since I used to scare all the kids away every halloween untill no one let me scare them anymore
I'm a terrible person... it was fun though.

Thanks. I just hope I'm good enough because the two exams today weren't that good
And tomorrow I've got the hardest one I'm taking those exams for the second time and I'm not giving up, if I'll fail again, I'll try again next year, but I'd really prefer to finally be done with it as soon as possible

At my uni there's a bookshelf where they put books which that anyone is allowed to take for free. I was walking to my first lecture for the day when I noticed that the recommended textbook for my physics course was on the bookshelf. Lucky me!

@aussiekirkland That sucks! They should make it easier to find things like that, I only found out because it was on a facebook site that was linked on a website linked on another website which was linked on my unis website... and that was the only place to find it, so I hope it's actually a true thing...
