@Ashe. like @nonmerci mentioned, romantic attraction needs to have a particular target. craving a romantic relationship is not the same as experiencing romantic attraction. for example, the thought of food makes your mouth water. you can look at food and and think it's tasty, and you might even want it, even though you are already full and couldn't possible eat more. that's more or less what cupioromantics experience. we like the idea of a romantic relationship so much that we want to experience something like that, but we just can't. edit: here, romantic attraction would equal to not being completely full and wanting to eat a specific dish because you like it.

hi, welcome to Arocalypse!! i was in a similar position not too long ago. i first found out that i was acespec, and i was okay with that. but then i realised that i might be aro as well, and i just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that i won't be able to love someone romantically. and like you said, even i wanted to be in a romantic relationship, and i was bummed that i won't be able to experience that. then i found out about QPRs, and that was a like a consolation for me. i also came across the term cupio-romantic, and it fit me very well but i don't like the idea of using micro-lables. so for now i've settled on greyro or arospec. i hope you figure things out, and you can always find help and support here if you need it. :D
