What you're describing sounds like lithromantic to me. Lithromantics can experience romantic feelings, but they don't want it reciprocated. And if you feel like you're forcing yourself through a relationship, I'd suggest you talk it out, and tell your partner what you're feeling, rather than ending it by making excuses. It will help you both understand what the other thinks about the the whole situation, and it'll be easier to resolve it.

@nonmerci yep, Heroes of Olympus is on my list! i'm hoping to borrow the books from my friend because i don't like reading from my phone. i did not know that Artemis Fowl is a book series!! :O thanks for the heads up, i'll make sure to read the books first!

@Mell hello and welcome to Arocalypse! figuring out your identity can be confusing, i myself am not sure about my sexuality yet. my closest friends know that i'm aro, but there are certain friends who don't know about it, and i'm not sure how to break it to them, or should i even tell them in the first place. luckily we can't meet because of covid, so that's giving me some time to think and decide.

currently, it's the Percy Jackson series. i finished reading it a few weeks back and it's sooo good!! i love the fantasy and YA genre, and out of all the books i've read so far, this series is the most well-written one. it's an easy read, everything is explained really well, the story is awesome, and there's a great mix of elements like action, friendship and loss.

i'm pretty sure i know plenty of good romantic movies because i love to watch them but i can't think of any right now. Young Royals was beautiful. Feel Good has kinda similar vibes, it's very sweet but also has some really emotional scenes.

this pretty much sums up my experience. i considered romantic relationships as unnecessary and i thought they'd hinder me from concentrating on my studies. plus i felt like we're too young in high school to be in an actual serious relationship. and i kept hoping that i'd find 'the one' when i grew up, but well. my rosy unrealistic dreams were shattered just a few months ago when i realised that i was a romantic.
