  1. @Ice Queen I think people just like the idea of "love at first sight" so much, especially as it's too often touted in the media as ~the BEST thing to ever happen to you!!!!!!!!!!!~ Ugh, it's so annoying.
  2. Yeah, honestly it's just a huge lose-lose situation. I guess it comes down to hoping that one day, my peers will finally mature. Hah, like that's going to happen
  3. Ravenclaw! Also just like @hippiecat(ran into you again!) I would totally join the hunters of Artemis, but because of Artemis's lack of children, I'd probably be a child of Athena.
  4. Ooh how about when friends tease you about liking someone, and you get flustered and irritated trying to explain that you don't like said person whatsoever. Of course, they take it as you being defensive and therefore you are suddenly ~soooo~ in love with this person. I just don't get how people jump to these conclusions
  5. Ahaha I love your profile pic

I was just binging through all those comics today so I did a double take when I saw your profile pic :P

  6. I totally agree on this. I think for me, when I was around 15 I started to notice how I just didn't see eye to eye with peers on romantic aspects and it kinda clicked that- not to say I could permanently label myself because you should totally never stay stagnant with one idea and limit yourself but- that maybe I should rethink. Today I could certainly be wrong with all this, I but I will say that for me stumbling upon aromanticism wasn't as much of a radical realization but more of a puzzle piece finally clicking into place because you understand where it goes. Cheesy metaphor and now I'm rambling but I think because it's something one may always kind of suspect until realizing it's actually a thing (at least in my case), it makes taking up this identity as a younger person not come off as superficial or a phase.
  7. EXACTLY. I've had people explain to me how much being friendzoned sucks, but why is it so bad? I just don't get it. Friendship just shouldn't be considered less valuable than romance.
  8. Happy new year everyone!! Hope 2017 brings good vibes and happy days :]

  9. Just a question: WHY DO PEOPLE TAKE BEING FRIENDZONED AS A BAD THING?! Honestly I just don't get it. My friend keeps trying to convince me that relationships are great and that I'm missing out and that I'm not giving it a chance; but guess what I DON'T WANT TO OR FEEL THE NEED TO THEREFORE I'M GOOD OKAY. Additionally, he is like "Wow, I'm so sad you rejected me, it doesn't have to be this way" and oh my this is getting on my nerves ://// Me and this person were really close and I wish he could realize that I liked being close - but ~only platonically close~. Please why can't people just take a hint that I've literally spelled out.
  10. I totally agree. The media, including music, movies, and even books, tends to revolve around the idea of love; with music being no exception and magazines having built their audience off of people wanting to know the drama of celebrities relationships, and so much more. Additionally, it seems like everyone's idea of love these days is so contorted, where people find these possessive or dark lyrics "cute" or something, and people enjoy reading about dysfunctional relationships. I work out as my high school's gym, which unfortunately means that there's a bunch of football players that put on their ridiculous, very offensive rap music. It's hard to enjoy mainstream music or media when not only is all of it choked in the idea of romantic love, but it also portrays said love in poor ways. It just amazes me that this is just normal by now, that people don't give it a second thought anymore.
  11. Can I just say that song jealous that was on the radio a while back, I thought was the most possessive and lowkey creepy song ever because the guy singing it says something like "its my right to be hellish/I still get jealous." What is it about relationships and people thinking that thats cute or whatnot? I repeat, he said it was his "right to be hellish", honestly that's just kinda messed up, when should anyone have a good reason to be mean-spirited towards someone else, especially relating to relationships? I am just repulsed and irritated that a song about a guy treating this girl like she's his property became so popular on the radio.
  12. Honestly I thought I was just really pessimistic and picky, and i don't know why but people saw my dislike towards romance that as me being jealous because "everyone" or whatever was in a relationship or wanting one but not me. I didn't want anything to do with a relationship, but I just kind of assumed that of course there is someone out there that's perfect for me and I'll fall head over heels for, especially because everyone around me seemed so certain about this haha. I probably also thought I was just being too negative because I always viewed relatioships so logically, for example, what's the point in having one if it's just going to end, you can hang out with multiple friends instead of spending all your time with one person. I assumed my logic was completely normal until I asked around and realized no one held this opinion, and the general response I god was that that this magical thing called love makes everything worth it
