Huh, I wonder where everyone else has been these days.

I live somewhere in the SE corner of Queensland, Australia. Other than some lovely beaches and scenery and maybe something else, I don't think there's anything really all that axciting where I live.

I totally forgot this existed, and decided to double check out of curiousity. My left ring finger is 83mm, which is 5mm longer than my left index finger, 2mm longer than my right index and same length as right ring.

This thread might be kind of dead, but I'm gonna agree with aro dean winchester and a lot of the others.
I'm adding Lt. Colonel John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis as AroAce. He never really shows any interest in pursuing anyone for the entire show and the few times he does end up in a situation where someone is flirting with him, he always seems really uncomfortable. His focus in the show is always on his teammates (found family!) and protecting the members of the expedition.
A relationship, sexual or romantic, is never the focus of his character. Loved it!!! (Also, the show itself is fun if you're into cheesy sci-fi and team-as-family shows.)
I'm not so sure about that. There was that Ancient lady he had a bit of a romantic evening with, as well as having been married.

My RH just decorated my dorm's common room with a bunch of super gaudy cutesy Valentine's Day stuff (she does this for every holiday, to be fair), and someone walked in and said delightedly, "Oh look, love is in the air!"
I immediately responded with "Oh god no, someone get the air freshener."
This reminds me of a Cyanide and Happiness short, where one clip was "love is in the air," the next, both characters are wearing gas masks

A bit of random useless information about ships:
The Endeavour, the ship James cook used to scout out and discovered the east coast of Australia for the British was later renamed the Lord Sandwich.

Today, in AVEN chat, some people were talking about relationships, and romance (I think), and after a while, I started amusing myself, since I all of a sudden though how much more interesting the orange I was eating was.

The codes for the emoticons are different with this suite of IPB than AVEN's previous version of it. They have since changed them back since their upgrade, so it is possible.

Anything over 20C is death for me, so that's fine by me!
Anything under 20C is when it starts being cold. Tis why I'm glad it's summer

One point I tried making is that you could take the forum as a whole as a culture. We have a group of 3-400 people in total, with a decent handful of people participating in a wide group of things, from discussion within the sexuality/gender forum, relationships, and the stuff in the aro discussion forum, as well as all the posting games and stuff in the arcade. With all these people come together that have something in common, you could say that's culture in itself, so I don't find it necessary to create a new subforum for it when it's something that is all over the forum in the first place.

Well Zema, you did just post 5 seconds after I did, and while I was mid sentence elsewhere. What do you expect.

Wow, such bad timing, too.

I can't let you win all the time, right?

Nope. I usually won't even have my shirt off in front of other people IRL.

Whenever someone tells me they just got a partner, I really couldn't care less. If anything, I'll just say something like oh cool, and then hope it moves on. If it doesn't, I'm sitting there being somewhat confused, couldn't care less and hoping it'll end soon.

After reading and glimpsing over it, the best thing you can do is move on. This sort of toxic shit isn't something you need, and in some cases, it's almost as if you know better. You might feel guilty at first, but once the distance is there you might be glad it's there.

I was sorta there for that, but I seemed to have missed it, and can't really remember much of the details.
