sometimes I think I understand romantic codes quite well and I recognize it when things are seen as romantic or when people are in love and then there are moments like yesterday, when me and the people I study with looked at a persons project and someone said "that's such a cute love story" and the others seemed to agree and I was just... so confused... like.. there were no signs the characters were lovers? like... not at all???
