What does brain rot look like exactly in terms of excessive internet usage?

Yeah was this for blood donation purposes or more like your doctor requested a blood sample and now you are giving it?

For reals? I guess it depends on what your use case scenario is...

  5. Surgical glue is off my top surgery incisions! Such a relief. Loving getting to see everything.

Fluid buildup? How does that happen? Sorry if that's kind of a nasty thing to ask.

I'm assuming you got top surgery? (Okay i'll be honest, I didn't check the pictures).

Happy for you! May I ask how long it takes for the scars to heal?

  7. I found this very interesting:

"Dreams about lost things and other minor disasters may give us some kind of competitive advantage. A study in Consciousness and cognition in 2014 looked at students about to take a high-stakes exam. The students who had the most intense stress dreams the night before the exam — often involving lost things, lateness, or, in one memorable case, being handed a slice of bread instead of the exam paper — ended up getting higher grades. The researchers told the Guardian they believe this is something called threat simulation theory, in which brains rehearse all the things that can go wrong to help us cope when they do. So when you dream of forgetting your pen and your pants on the day of an important exam, your brain's gearing up to help you deal with something stressful. "

Some consolation if we're having stress dreams

Yeah, I tend to forget how large Stockholm is, lol. I've been in villages my entire life and rarely venture out to capital cities or major metropolises.

Eh, well some are a bit personal and may not be the best for sharing on the public forums. But in terms of one that I can share, I'd say just hugging, snuggling, and cuddling are very common themes.

Ah, okay. It reminds me of the Icelandic word, "loghólmi" it also means "log islet" (it's pronounced a bit differently than what many would expect). For Stockolm it is spelt Stokkhólmi. Thanks for sharing that tidbit, I'd like to learn Swedish, I can get some words with the knowledge of Icelandic, but certainly not everything.

Aren't you scared of telling people online where you're from (like the city)? Maybe that's just me lol or I very much like privacy laws and restrictions :)

Hahaha, I hope this  also applies to things like friends and QPRs.. maybe my brain is trying to cope with a lack of social interactions lol.

  13. i got this grey-aroace problem of wanting like sensual cuddles but there not being anyone i want to have a qpr with, not being sure if I could be sensual with my friends, and if I go on a dating app its either gonna be allos wanting the cuddles to lead to sex or alloaces wanting the cuddles to lead to romance

    1. MulticulturalFarmer

      MulticulturalFarmer

Yeah, I hate that people have to basically be sexually and romantically attracted to me to get cuddles. Can there be a cuddling app instead of a dating one? LOL.

Newbie question: What's the best and safest way to find a FWB? And how long do you wait before deciding to have sex?

  16. aroallos are fucking excellent, the absolute backbone of the community it feels like sometimes

i'm a wee bit tipsy but i mean it with all my bones

    1. MulticulturalFarmer

      MulticulturalFarmer

Ok, just out of curiosity, can you be aro-allo if you are sexually fluid (sometimes demi and sometimes more allo?) Or is there a different term for that?

  17. Starting to think that I might be bullusromantic, I definitely like romantic stuff out of romantic context.

  18. Today I had the sudden urge to learn about physics so despite having a ton of other things I technically should prioritize, I started studying it and it was quite interesting. And I mean, better than not learning anything at all.

Me too. I do this sometimes with neuroscience, economics, or anything with a ton of math in it, even though I have assignments from other subjects/things at work that I need to do. Hit me up if you wanna chat about this obsessive tendency..

  19. Feeling like rubbish today, everyone else is talking about this special day and i'm out here feeling like I'm the only person in the world who can't enjoy it.

Same here, especially with the lack of QPRs in my life.

  20. It has taken me a very long time, but I think I've finally accepted myself as aro. I no longer look at my label with doubt and sadness, but with genuine pride. I have to thank this community for being so diverse and welcoming! I've always been supportive of acearo rights, yet discovering that I was apart of you all along was admittingly frightening. But being aro won't stop me from being happy, in fact I think I am now happier with myself this way. Overall, thank you.

Same here, though I'm still working on it! Still navigating the sadness, loneliness, and figuring out how to get QPRs.
