For about a year now, I have been describing myself as aromatic. Nevertheless, I love romantic relationships and also have a partner since a few months. I have the desire to spend my time with him, to cuddle and also to hold hands, I simply have nothing against kisses. I have ''chosen'' him as my partner, because before he was my best friend and therefore I already had a strong platonic bond with him. Since I often hear that this is what romantic love is all about (even if I would just classify it as sensual attraction) I've been thinking about if I could be demiromantic, but the kissing part is very confusing to me. As I said before, I don't mind, but it's (the only thing) I don't have any desire for. I guess I wouldn't say what I feel is romantic attraction, but honestly I have no idea of what it even feels like at all. This maybe sounds stupid, but does the desire to kiss someone determine your romantic orientation? ~Best wishes
