I attended a workshop on queer ecologies last night, and I thought it might be a good topic to discover. Often scientists look at the natural world through heteronormative lenses, but there's cases of same sex co-parenting, community co-parenting, and use of sex for non-reproductive purposes in nature. Also, let's get some dates possibly in March, a Saturday or Sunday maybe? Evenings UK time seem to work better than earlier?

We normally choose a weekend so it helps with time zone differences. But we could discuss Valentine's day as a topic? I'm aware that aro experience might be different in different countries regarding Valentine's Day, but this general topic could be broadened to include any other similar tradition.

You might not get much sense out of me while the 6 Nations rugby tournament is on, I have a bit of a romantic fling with the tournament every year! That being said, maybe we should start throwing some possibly dates around covering February or March? And now if the time to suggest any fascinating topics you're desperate to discuss?

We're probably due to schedule another meet sometime, but I suspect January might be quieter in most people's calendars than December? I also think it's a tradition now for us to have a games/ice breaker/chilled chat once a year? So if you give possible dates/availabilities we'll go from there? The article briefly speaks about the topic in relation to relationships with family members and colleagues etc. Frustrating that it's only briefly but I suppose take what we can!

Hi, I will need to rearrange this unfortunately, unless you are happy to meet without me? If you want me to rearrange it the options are 6:30PM Sunday 24th (I could also do Saturday that weekend), or Sunday 1st again around 6:30/7ish (all times UK). I'm aware I still need to choose a topic also.

You are 5 hours behind me then so no worries about staying up at night as I'll be fast asleep! I'll see what the others say also (I organise on both here and Facebook).

Yes, sure! Where about are you from so we can consider you with regards to timezones? Those dates mentioned aren't any good for some of our regulars anyway, so we're still discussing dates for the next one. I think I've made a mistake and didn't schedule the meet tomorrow, I certainly didn't on the Facebook group! I thought I'd scheduled it but if this is news to people here it might be too late to do so!! I also thought I said 12noon BST on the topic of family but I think I only spoke about it on a thread in the Facebook group 😕. It looks like here I said 1pm! If you were planning on going let me know?

I've been looking at the Carnival of Aros link again (mainly because I'm not the best at original ideas). But I thought that either "Family" or "How do you view Platonic Attraction" would be both interesting topics. I'm leaning towards "Family". The next meeting might have to be May. I think we're due a lunchtime (BST) meet. So far, to the best of my knowledge I'm ok for any Sunday in May as I haven't started filling it up yet. I'll also have a look at previous suggested topics, but if you'd like to discuss something in particular or have a suggestion then feel free to mention it.
