That is my favourite half full/half empty quote (although it's commonly positive I changed it from 'tomorrow is another day, the sun will rise,' so it's more reflective of one's innards).
Here's something that I find interesting: in the UK there are a number of pubs with no road access meaning they are only accessed through boat, rail or hike. You can be in the middle of nowhere and not be far from a pub. It truly confirms the notion that pubs are the cornerstones of communities and life in Britain... also alcohol.
