  1. I care about how I look. Why do people think taking care of yourself and your appearance only has to do with other people? I care about myself.
  2. The question of this post was does being aromantic have an effect on your social skills, was it not?
  3. I’m very sociable. Does everyone here think the only reason to socialize is to date people or something?
  4. There are ALWAYS several factors that make a person who they are. Having said that, it’s damn impossible to change who you are. All humans are complicated. Learn to live with who you are.
  5. Ah, it’s threads like these that make me wonder if I’m aromantic at all.
  6. Not a unique experience, unfortunately. I’ve told friends who could care less. And, yes, it hurts my feelings that they have no interest in something that is a big part of who I am and how I live my life.
  7. No. It’s not just allos. Asexuals are MORE obsessed with this kind of stuff, being in relationships and doing things they feel is romantic, like cuddling and sharing beds.
  8. Actually, I think you will find people have coupled up all the back through caveman times. Listen, I appreciate the attempt to make aromantic people the norm, but we’re not. There is NOTHING WRONG with being different. Embrace it and accept it.
  9. Same thing happens when you say to someone “I’m aromantic.” They hear “I’m a romantic.” It’s actually a horrible label for a person because it’s always going to be heard incorrectly.
  10. I’m still not so sure everyone isn’t just pretending.
  11. Yay! People responded to my fit! Here’s also a link to the same info in USA Today. I don’t know why I could see the other link and others couldn’t. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/06/14/binge-watch-impostor-syndrome-added-oxford-english-dictionary/702124002/
  12. I have no clue. But I see plenty of people act like fools because of it.
  13. Out of 67 views, there’s one reply and only 7 likes. A major dictionary adds us into the lexicon and no one cares, yet I see a lot of whining about erasure and not being included. Apathy much? It’s easier to complain than celebrate I guess.
